Natural dewatering of sewage sludge of small producers
Mrvová, Michaela ; Hynánková,, Eva (referee) ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (advisor)
The thesis is focused on measurements possibility associated with sludge dewatering, realized on technological wetlands. Focus of this thesis is the evaluation of evapotranspiration in wetland macrophytes, respectively - comparison of three measurements - in the sludge drying bed to the greenhouse facility, sludge drying bed without the greenhouse building and measuring the meteorological station at 2.0 meters above the ground. One of the goals is an automated system monitoring and regulating moisture conditions in sludge dewatering. The aim of the evaluation is completed dewatering equipment from an economic point of view.
Selected issues in hydrology and hydrogeology of the Trebon Basin
Nymsa, Zdeněk ; Slavík, Martin (advisor) ; Nedvěd, Jakub (referee)
In the last few decades, the average temperatures in the Czech Republic have been increasing, which has led to increase in evapotranspiration. Previous studies have shown that increases in evapotranspiration during the summer months can lead to significant reductions in flows and even to drying up of small watercourses. Additionally, snow cover has also been on the decline in recent years, resulting in no flow enhancement in spring months and therefore lower soil moisture problems ensue. Due to the possible decrease in precipitation and/or increase in evapotranspiration, there is also the risk of less groundwater recharge in the future. The aim of my thesis is to verify the correlation between several selected parameters in the Trebon Basin, namely the relationship between evapotranspiration, precipitation and baseflow and groundwater levels in boreholes. A sub-objective is to verify the long- term evolution of these parameters in the Trebon Basin. Atmospheric precipitation and its variability during the year have not changed since the 1960s, while the magnitude of potential evapotranspiration has statistically significantly increased over this time and its variability during the year has decreased. The difference between atmospheric precipitation and potential evapotranspiration has been...
A Comparison of Methods for Evaluation of Potential Evapotranspiration
Bednář, Martin ; Marton, Daniel
This paper shows usage of four different methods for evaluation of potential evapotranspiration and their effect on the determination of runoff from a river basin under conditions of climate change. Methods are based on mean temperatures and eventually extra-terrestrial radiation. Specifically, the methods are Blaney-Criddle, Hargreaves, Turc and Thornthwaite. Methods were tested using water balance rainfall-runoff hydrological model used on a part of Thaya river catchment. Results shown that the best fitted methods for this study area are Turc and Thornthwaite, however they had a different effect on the analysis of climate change during the period from 2021 to 2060.

Evapotranspiration of selected agricultural and forest species
Kučera, J. ; Urban, J. ; Trnka, Miroslav ; Fischer, Milan ; Krofta, K. ; Duffková, R.
The aim of this article is a comparison of evapotranspiration (ET) of different covers (turf grass, clover (Trifolium pratense), winter wheat (Triticum aestivum), hops (Humulus lupulus) and the high density poplar stand (J-105, Populus nigra x Populus Maximowiczii)) with the potential evapotranspiration (PET) and the general description the ET rates dynamic during the season. The second goal is to quantify the ratio of the transpiration and the whole evapotranspiration for the two contrasting cultures – the hops and poplars stand. The daily maximal sum of the grass ET reached, similarly like for the other species, up to 5–6 mm per day, which comprises 85–93 % of PET. Significantly higher ET was showed by the culture of clover. On the other hand, the lowest values were performed by the poplar stand in the first year after coppicing. The transpiration to evapotranspiration ratio resulted in 40–70 % by the hops and 80–90 % in case of the poplars.
